In addition, Mr. Weil has extensive experience in other practice areas including, but not limited to, estate planning, probate, family law, personal injury and general civil business litigation. In the late 1970s and 1980s, Mr. Weil also was afforded the privilege of being a sports attorney for a number of professional football players in the NFL, negotiating lucrative contracts on their behalf.
Mr. Weil graduated from UCLA in 1970 earning a bachelor's degree in Political Science with an emphasis in international relations. He continued his education at Southwestern University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate degree in 1973. Upon passing the California state bar exam in 1975 Mr. Weil was admitted to the California State Bar and the Central District of California Federal Court. Since that time, Mr. Weil is also admitted to the Southern as well as the Eastern District Federal Courts in California.

Prior to going to law school, Ron worked for the IRS as a Revenue Officer. During that time, he had a lot of exposure to bankruptcy from a creditor perspective. During law school, he worked for a bankruptcy judge as an intern and gained many unique insights into how a judge views bankruptcy.
After law school, Ron helped people to resolve tax issues. Then, Ron worked for two firms which represented Chapter 7 Trustees. Since that time, Ron has worked for firms representing consumer debtors.
Ron's diverse background covers all "sides" of Bankruptcy and gives him a unique insight into the various issues arising in Bankruptcy law.
